Review New Videos

Watches for new videos from your channels and asks for approval before they reach your communities, or approves them when you allow it.

When Review New Videos runs, Octo, Genuin's Supervised Intelligence interface in Brand Control Center (BCC), checks for new videos from your channels and asks you to approve them. Anything you don't approve waits for you in Curate. It's an Official Supervised Intelligence capability that Genuin publishes in the Capability Marketplace, and it runs as a background job that shows under Background Invocations.

When to use it

Use it when new videos keep arriving from your channels, such as the daily import from Import My Shorts. You approve each batch as it comes in.

How it works

  • Octo looks back over a window of 24 hours by default, up to 336 hours, for new videos from your channels. For example, with the default window, Octo checks the videos that arrived in the last 24 hours.
  • For each batch it finds, Octo asks you to approve the videos for your communities.
  • A standing rule lets Octo approve videos from your own channels for you.
  • When the run ends, Octo reports the videos still waiting. They wait for you in Curate.
  • It uses Genuin's built-in tools only. Its card shows "No external tools", and Required models shows Default.

Add it to your brand

  1. In BCC, go to Marketplace > Marketplace.
  2. Search for Review New Videos and click View and add on its Official card.
  3. Check Required tools and Required models, then click Add to My Intelligence Capabilities.
  4. On your copy under My Capabilities, click Enable in Intelligence.

If your brand already has a copy, the card shows Manage copy instead of View and add.

What Octo asks you

For each batch of new videos, Octo asks: "New videos from your channel arrived. Approve them for your communities?"

A standing rule can approve videos from your own channels without the question. Supervised Intelligence Autonomy and Approvals explains standing rules and how to revoke them. The question expires after 48 hours, and videos you haven't approved wait for you in Curate.
