Upload videos and publish them to your social experience
Learn how to bring owned, partner, creator, or offline videos into Genuin with Uploads, enrich them, and publish them to communities and groups after review.
Uploads brings owned, partner, creator, or offline content directly into Genuin, so you publish it in your social experience without relying on external social platforms. You keep full ownership of the content and its data.
Every upload goes through one governed workflow. Genuin processes and enriches each video with AI, moderation combines AI checks with human oversight, and you publish approved videos to communities and groups. Nothing is published automatically without review.
Uploads is part of content curation in Brand Control Center (BCC), under the rules that Control sets for every post. For the product as a whole, see Control: what it does and where to start.
Sources you can upload from
All of these sources flow into the same review, moderation, and publishing pipeline:
- Local device uploads (MP4, MOV, and other supported formats)
- Cloud storage links
- Creator-submitted files
- Brand-owned video libraries
For social videos, use Social Import. For long videos you want to cut into clips, use Clip It. To upload many short videos at once, see bulk uploads of short-form content.
Upload your videos
- In Brand Control Center, go to Curate > Activity > + New Post > Uploads. Uploads is the central place to ingest video that doesn't come from social platforms.
- Click Choose files and choose your source. You can select one or more files, monitor the upload status, and resume an interrupted upload.
- Add metadata and settings to each video:
- A title and description
- Captions and a caption style
- A thumbnail or clickbait image
- Background music
- Smart crop and aspect ratio. Use smart crop for vertical-first experiences.
- Click Import.
Standardize naming and metadata across your uploads.
How Genuin processes uploads
Genuin processes each file automatically once its upload completes. During processing, Genuin's AI:
- Analyzes the video and audio.
- Generates suggested titles, captions, and tags.
- Evaluates relevance and quality.
- Prepares the content for moderation.
No content is published automatically without review. Learn more in How AI works in Brand Control Center.
Review and moderate uploads
Uploaded videos appear in Curate > Activity in one of four states:
- Processing
- Awaiting to post
- Approved
- Rejected
From Activity, you can approve, reject, or move each video, assign it to communities and groups, and take bulk actions. Review the AI suggestions before you approve a video.
Before publishing, every upload passes three moderation checks:
- AI-based policy checks
- Brand guideline validation
- Manual editorial approval
These checks hold uploads to your quality, compliance, and trust standards. Learn more about Moderation Baselines and Queue.
Publish to communities and groups
After approval, publish videos into:
- Communities
- Topic-based groups
- Campaign or seasonal collections
Organize content into clear communities and groups. Published videos appear as scrollable video feeds, embedded community modules, and native web or app experiences.
For users, uploaded videos feel native and interactive. They discover them through community feeds organized by relevance and interest, engage through likes, comments, and shares, and return through personalized experiences. That keeps users on your owned properties longer. Learn more in How users discover and engage with your content.
Permissions and governance
Uploads works under strict governance:
- Role-based permissions. Learn more about Business Account Roles and Scoped Roles.
- Full audit logs. Learn more about the audit log.
- Clear approval workflows.
- No auto-publishing without review.
You always control where content appears, who can upload and approve, and how content is monetized.
Limitations
- Roles: role-based access applies to uploads and approvals.
- Enrichment: some enrichment features require admin permissions.
- Moderation: every upload must pass moderation before it's published.
