How do I display partner brand content in Embeds and Placements?

The Partner Content Support for Embeds & Placements feature enables brands to display approved content from partner brands directly within their websites and applications using Genuin Embeds and Placements.

By leveraging existing Network relationships and Content Access permissions, brands can extend their content offering without duplicating assets or manually importing content.

This feature helps you:

  • Surface trusted content from partner brands.
  • Increase content variety across your digital properties.
  • Strengthen collaboration between network partners.
  • Reuse approved partner content without additional publishing workflows.
  • Maintain existing governance through Network Content Access controls.

Partner content is displayed only when the partner has explicitly shared access to the relevant communities or social media handles.

How It Works

The feature extends the existing Network Content Access model.

When a partner brand shares content access with your organization:

  1. The shared communities become available.
  2. You can select the partner brand while configuring an Embed or Placement.
  3. Content from the shared communities is loaded into the selected feed.
  4. The generated Embed or Placement code displays the partner's content on your website or application.

Only content that has been explicitly shared through Network permissions is eligible for display.

Before You Begin

Ensure that:

  • An Active Network relationship exists with the partner brand.
  • The partner brand has granted Content Access to the required communities or social media handles.
  • You have permission to create or edit Embeds or Placements.
  • The partner's content is available within the shared communities.

If these requirements are not met, the partner brand will not appear as a selectable option.

Configure Partner Content in an Embed

Step 1: Navigate to Embeds

Go to: Grow > Onsite > Embeds

Create a new Embed or open an existing one.

1

Step 2: Select the Feed Type

Choose one of the supported feed types:

  • Brand Feed
  • Community Feed
  • Group Feed

Select the preferred layout, such as:

  • Carousel
  • Standard
  • Wall
2

Step 3: Select a Partner Brand

Under the Brand section, a new Partner Brand selector is available.

Choose one of the partner brands connected through your Network relationship.

Only eligible brands are displayed.

After selecting a partner brand:

  • The feed refreshes automatically.
  • Content from the selected partner becomes available for preview.
  • Only approved and shared content is displayed.
3

Step 4: Preview the Feed

Review the content that will appear in the Embed.

Verify:

  • Posts
  • Images
  • Videos
  • Titles
  • Link-outs
  • Feed ordering

If no content is displayed, verify that the partner has shared content access for the selected communities.

Step 5: Publish the Embed

After confirming the configuration:

  1. Save the Embed.
  2. Copy the generated Embed code.
  3. Add the code to your website or application.

The Embed now displays content from the selected partner brand.

4

How Content Access Controls Visibility

Partner content is only displayed when it has been shared through Network Content Access.

For example:

  • Brand A shares Community A with Brand B.
  • Brand B creates an Embed and selects B and A.
  • Only content from Community A is displayed.
  • Content from other communities remains inaccessible.

This ensures brands retain full control over which content can be reused.

Link-Out Behavior

Link-outs remain unchanged when partner content is displayed.

If a partner post contains:

  • External URLs
  • Promotional links
  • Calls-to-action

Those link-outs continue to function exactly as configured by the partner brand.

No additional configuration is required.

Advertising and Sponsorship Behavior

Partner content sharing does not change advertising or sponsorship configurations.

Advertisements

Advertisements remain isolated at the brand level.

For example:

  • US Weekly content displayed within another brand's Embed does not carry US Weekly's ad configuration.
  • The destination brand's advertising configuration continues to apply independently.

Each brand maintains its own ad serving and monetization settings.

Sponsored Posts and Sponsored Takeovers

  • Sponsored Posts, Sponsored Takeovers, and Extended O&O campaigns operate independently from Partner Content Support.
  • This release only enables partner content to be displayed through Embeds and Placements.
  • Existing sponsorship workflows remain unchanged.

Example Scenario

Lifestyle & Style (L&S) and US Weekly are connected as Partner Brands.

US Weekly has shared access to selected communities.

An administrator at L&S:

  1. Opens an existing Embed.
  2. Selects Brand Feed.
  3. Chooses US Weekly as the partner brand.
  4. Saves the Embed.
  5. Copies the Embed code to the L&S website.

Visitors to the L&S website now see US Weekly's approved posts, including their original titles, media, and link-outs.

US Weekly's advertising configuration is not transferred to the L&S Embed.

Notes

  • Only brands with an Active Network relationship can be selected.
  • Content Access permissions determine which partner content is available.
  • The feature supports both newly created and existing Embeds and Placements.
  • Link-outs remain associated with the original content.
  • Partner content updates automatically as new approved content becomes available.

Important

Partner Content Support shares content only.

The following configurations are not shared between brands:

  • Advertisements
  • Sponsored Posts
  • Sponsored Takeovers
  • Extended O&O campaigns
  • Brand-specific monetization settings

Each brand continues to manage these independently.
