Offer community sponsorships to brand partners

Learn how to offer external brand partners Sponsored Posts and Sponsored Takeovers in the communities you own, priced by CPM, tracked with GTM and pixels, and delivered by priority.

Besides running sponsorships yourself, you can open the communities and groups in your social experience to external brand partners. Partners get engaged audiences, native distribution inside feeds, and measurable performance through tracking.

You get revenue from your own partners alongside programmatic demand, while you keep control of brand safety and content quality. Every partner campaign uses the same sponsorship setup in Brand Control Center (BCC), with CPM pricing and tracking integrations.

Sponsorships are one of the revenue sources in Monetize. For the whole product, see Monetize: what it does and where to start. For the full sponsorship form, see Set up a community sponsorship.

Prepare your inventory

Before you offer opportunities to partners, make sure your inventory is ready:

  • Define the placements and embeds where sponsored content can appear. Learn more about placements and embed codes.
  • Configure monetization with Ad Configuration presets. Learn more about ad monetization presets.
  • Set up your feeds for In-Feed ads, In-Stream ads, and, optionally, Sponsored Takeover.
Your presets decide which placements can carry partner content.

Choose a format

Choose the format before you add partner content.

Curate partner content

Select approved posts from your content. Partner content can be created by your brand or provided by the partner.

Make sure every post is:

  • Approved and brand-safe.
  • Not marked as a House Ad. Learn more about House Ads.
Filter the posts by brand and set the partner as the Sponsoring Brand.

Set where partner campaigns appear

  • Your Placement: Select specific placements, or keep all of them enabled. Final delivery depends on both the sponsorship's selection and your active Ad Configuration presets.
  • Environment: Choose the platforms: Web, Mobile Web, iOS, and Android.
You control the placements, embeds, and platforms a partner campaign reaches.

To restrict partner content further by URL, keyword, or location, see Target a sponsorship proposal by URL, keyword, or location.

Set pricing

Partners pay a transparent, CPM-based price:

ParameterValue
CPMCost per 1,000 impressions, from 10 USD to 1,000 USD
Impression definitionOne view is a 3-second video play
BudgetTotal campaign spend, as a whole number
BillingExternal, through Publisher Direct Payout
CPM and budget set the commercial terms for the partner.

Add tracking for partners

Give partners measurable performance:

  • Add a Google Tag Manager ID for analytics tracking.
  • Add a Pixel URL for conversion tracking.

Partners can then track impressions, clicks, and engagement.

Tracking IDs let partners measure their campaign.

Set the campaign window

Set the start and end date and time. The campaign runs strictly within this window and moves from Scheduled to Live to Expired automatically. For example, a tech partner's launch campaign set to run for 3 days stops at the end of the third day.

Review the sponsorship's details, then click Add Sponsored Post.

How partner campaigns are prioritized

Several partners can run campaigns at the same time. When sponsorships compete for the same slots, Genuin delivers them in this order:

  1. Higher CPM.
  2. Higher remaining budget.
  3. Higher impressions delivered.
  4. First created (first come, first served).

Partners who pay a higher CPM get priority delivery.

Partner campaigns run only when all of these are true:

  • The sponsorship is Live.
  • The placement is enabled in Ad Configuration.
  • The placement is selected in the sponsorship.
  • The budget isn't exhausted.

How viewers see partner content

Sponsored content is clearly labeled, for example as Sponsored or Ad, and renders as part of the feed.

When no sponsored content is available for a slot, a House Ad might fill it. Otherwise, the slot is skipped, and viewers never see an empty placeholder.

Limitations

  • Post limit: You can add up to 20 posts per sponsorship.
  • No House Ads: Posts marked as House Ads can't be sponsored.
  • Approved posts only: Unapproved posts aren't eligible.
  • CPM range: The CPM must be between 10 USD and 1,000 USD.
  • Whole-number budget: The budget must be an integer.
  • External billing: Billing happens outside Genuin, through Publisher Direct Payout.

Example campaigns

  • Brand partnership: A retail brand works with a fashion partner. It promotes curated videos as Sponsored Posts and targets mobile app users, earning revenue while keeping the content relevant.
  • Premium launch: A tech partner launches a new product with a Sponsored Takeover that runs for 3 days across the entire feed.
  • Always-on partner sponsorships: A media brand offers ongoing sponsorship slots. Several partners run campaigns at once, higher-CPM partners get priority, and the brand gets a steady revenue pipeline.
